The Boys traveled to Alvin Texas to compete in the 2nd annual Clear Springs Charger Classic this past Friday.

The weather was hot, but the vibes where good and the varsity boys took care of business placing 6th overall our of 21 teams. Junior Daniel Hasouris led the horns with a medal placing performance placing 15th out of 156 runners. Emilio Armijo (26th) Nathan Difalco (35th) Dristin Amos (69th) and Trenton Welch (70th) rounded out the scorers for the longhorns.

JV took that motivation and through down the gauntlet placing 5th overall out of 25 total teams. Led by sophomore William Haldeman, who performed late Thursday night with the Longhorn Band! William placed 7th overall out of 173 runners. Jacob Petmecky (19th), Hayes Rorie (42nd), Wyland Hofle (57th) and Akshay Jha (133rd) were the lone point scorers for the Longhorns.

In the Freshman Division, the dynamic duo of Elijah Lybarger and Mathis Danican continued to dominate with Elijah placing 5th and Mathis placing 7th out of 73 runners. Xavier Alvarez placed 55th, and Mason Donaldson placed 64th for the Longhorns.

The Boys will be running again next weekend at the infamous Brenham HILLACIOUS 5K. Tune in for more results then!
