The boys took a trip to Tomball this saturday to compete at the Cy Fair BFND classic. The Varsity boys kicked the meet off with a bang, seeing marked improvement by the majority of the team!

Leading the way was Joshua Deleon with a 37th place finish. Making a big statement was Junior Daniel Hasouris who stormed him way up to a 39th place finish with the biggest margin of improvement on the day! Emilio Armijo held it down at 50th place, followed by another big breakout performance by Junior Nathan Difalco who placed 54th. Ethan Spaulding rounded out our top 5 scorers for the day placing 66th. The boys finished a respectable 9th out of 20 teams on the day. .

The JV boys stood strong and followed varsity's lead, placing 10th overall out of 20 teams. Bruno Martinez led the boys with a big PR performance, placing 49th overall. in a neck and neck sprint Travis prater and Akshay Jha raced to the line placing 62nd and 63rd respectively. Wyland Hofle made big improvement too this week, placing 77nd. Luke Garcia rounds out the scoring members of the JV team, placing 91st. 

The freshman team only had 4 members, so they couldn't qualify for a team score, but that did hold them back from taking home some hardware! Elijah Lybarger brought home some hardware placing 5th overall with a very impressive time of 11:50 for 2 miles. Mathis Danican was right behind in 11:58 placing 11th overall. Xavier Alvarez had a solid performance placing 41st, and Mason Donaldson came roaring down the final stretch with the kick of the day placing 49th overall. 

The Longhorns will head down to Clear Springs next Friday 8/29 for their first 5k of the season.
